Riverine Flood Alert Discontinued For Trinidad

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has discontinued the Riverine Flood Alert (Yellow Level) for the Caroni River Basin as water levels have decreased.

“Rivers/tributaries levels have been on a downward trend over the past few hours and are below threshold values at this time.” according to the TTMS.

Trinidad and Tobago is NOT under any tropical storm threat, watch or warning.

The color of the alert indicates the severity of the event and the probability of the event occurring. Currently, the alert level is at Green, as the Discontinuation was issued. The TTMS continues to advise the public to monitor updates from official sources and plan safety measures, including emergency supplies of food and water, and follow the instructions of government officials.
