Showers have mostly subsided across Trinidad and Tobago as of 4:00 PM on Sunday evening.
Because weather conditions have improved significantly, the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has cancelled the Adverse Weather Alert. However, a few showers are still expected to linger into tonight.
A further update on the weather for this week will be posted later tonight, as several weak tropical waves are forecast to traverse the region over the next several days. In addition, a plume of Saharan dust is forecast to reduce air quality by mid-week across Trinidad and Tobago, as well as the Southern Windwards.
