Caribbean tsunamis have been occurring for hundreds of years, triggered by earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions or a combination of these events.

Tsunamis have been triggered within the Caribbean basin to thousands of miles away from the coasts of Europe, Africa, and the South Atlantic Ocean.

Here, we take a look at Caribbean tsunami events that have occurred in recent history.
