Adverse Weather Alert Discontinued

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has discontinued the Adverse Weather Alert (Orange Level) for Trinidad as Tropical Storm Gonzalo weakens to Tropical Depression Gonzalo, moving westward.

“Tropical storm Gonzalo has been downgraded to a Tropical depression and most activity has already passed Trinidad and Tobago. However, lingering moisture and instability may still produce showers and the odd thunderstorm over parts of the country.” according to the TTMS.

Moisture will linger in the area, with isolated showers and thunderstorms forecast for Sunday.

Trinidad and Tobago is NOT under any tropical storm threat, watch or warning.

The color of the alert indicates the severity of the event and the probability of the event occurring. Currently, the alert level is at Green, as the Discontinuation was issued.
