The Forecast: Mostly cloudy to overcast skies interrupted by light rain and isolated showers throughout the day across both islands. Across Trinidad, heavier showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible from the early morning through the afternoon, favoring southeastern areas initially, then western and northern areas of Trinidad by the late morning through the afternoon. Conditions are forecast to gradually settle as the evening progresses.
Adverse Weather Impacts: Locally heavy rainfall may trigger localized street/flash flooding, accompanied by gusty winds up to and in excess of 45 KM/H. Localized wind damage such as minor roof damage and downed trees possible. Lightning is also possible in showers that develop into thunderstorms.
Less than 10 millimeters are possible across Trinidad and Tobago over the next 24 hours. In isolated areas where heavy showers or the odd thunderstorm occurs, up to 32.5 millimeters (1.5 inch) are possible.
